Golden Roots Heritage Foundation is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to preserving Armenia's greatest treasures — its people, its history and its cultural heritage. A nation's identity is not only found in its ancient monasteries, historic monuments and beautiful landscapes, but also in the wisdom, traditions and life experiences passed from one generation to the next. Our mission is to strengthen these connections by supporting projects that enrich communities, preserve heritage and inspire future generations. Founded in Vagharshapat and registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia under State Registration No. 56524157, the foundation publishes every penny it receives on a public Open Ledger and delivers ZVART PROGRAM, its own community initiative, together with partner organisations.

Ensuring No Elderly Person Feels Forgotten
For centuries, Armenian families have cared for one another across generations. Parents dedicate their lives to raising their children, and later those children care for their parents. While this tradition remains at the heart of Armenian culture, modern realities have changed many families — migration, changing lifestyles and personal circumstances can leave elderly individuals without regular companionship or practical support.
Golden Roots aims to bridge that gap. We are developing a community-driven platform that connects elderly individuals with volunteers and service providers who can offer companionship, assistance and care. Students, caregivers, healthcare professionals, local businesses, delivery services and other community members can respond to specific needs and make a meaningful difference in someone's life.
Some participants may choose to volunteer their time, while others may provide services supported by the foundation. Every program is designed with clear legal, ethical and safety standards to protect the dignity, privacy and rights of everyone involved.
Support may include
- Spending quality time together through conversation, board games, reading or simply sharing a meal.
- Helping with groceries, errands and everyday household tasks.
- Providing transportation or accompanying individuals to appointments.
- Offering nursing or wellness services when appropriate.
- Organising cultural, educational and recreational activities that reduce isolation and strengthen community bonds.
Our goal is simple: to ensure that every elderly person feels valued, connected and remembered.
